Fourth annual Xfest slated for May 29-June 1 at SIUE

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - The Department of Theatre and Dance at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville is proud to announce its fourth annual Xfest, a celebration of experimental theatre. This season will feature an array of performances from May 29 to June 1, 2013.

This year's five performers will present Xfest audiences with a variety of delightfully unique shows, ranging from a love story between a man and the moon to a dance-based production about climate change.

Conceived in 2009 by Peter Cocuzza, professor of theater and dance, and Chuck Harper, associate professor of theater and dance, Xfest invites artists and theater companies from around the nation to SIUE to share inventive, fresh new performances with the community and campus. The festival will feature productions from five different theatre companies, as well as master classes from some of the dance companies. Below is the schedule of performances for Xfest 2013.
